Kelly Cooper, M.S. LMHC

Welcome! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping you uncover the barriers that keep you from living your best life.

With a Master’s degree in Psychology as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, from Angelo State University, I bring both academic and practical expertise to my work. Over the years, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life, gaining valuable experience in understanding their unique needs and challenges.

Beyond my counseling practice, I’ve had the privilege of teaching psychology at the college level, a role that deepened my knowledge and passion for the human mind. These dual experiences—counseling and teaching—have shaped my ability to guide clients on their personal journeys toward growth and well-being.

I am a Lifespan Integration Certified Therapist and have advanced training in other evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. These approaches allow me to tailor my work to meet your specific needs, empowering you to move forward with clarity and purpose.

I often say my dream job would be to be a professional student, as I love learning and am endlessly fascinated by the complexities of the human mind. I believe we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, and my goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained to help you understand yourself on a deeper level. Together, we can navigate the path to greater self-awareness, healing, and fulfillment.

I would be honored to be part of your journey.

I am a Mental Health Counselor committed to helping individuals and couples overcome the impact of trauma, anxiety and depression on their lives and relationships.

My main focus is helping you grow in your awareness of the mind-body connection to facilitate healing from the impact of stressful experiences and trauma on the whole person. I hold a hope-centered approach to create a safe space where, as a person of faith, I believe all individuals deserve to be treated with the highest level of dignity and respect.

My primary aim is to help those feeling hopeless find healing in their darkest moments. I have training and experience in trauma informed therapy approaches. These include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Lifespan Integration Therapy.

I look forward to connecting with you to see if I am the right fit for your counseling goals.
